The Court Building was vacated by the Scottish Court Service in 2015. The STP was successful in transferring ownership into its hands with a view to redeveloping it as a shared office space which is lacking in Stonehaven. The renovation has started with a mixture of grant funding (Aberdeenshire Council, LEADER) and a loan from Social Investment Scotland. Tennants have been identified and a business plan is in place to make the facility a viable going-concern and valuable asset for the town into the future.
